If Bobby is saying we have world class defenders in Howey, Dabizas, Goma and Helder, plus youg Aaron Hughes coming along, does that mean he won't have to buy anyone other than Helder over the summer, while selling Marcelino?

No, I wouldn't have thought that he'd spend a lot of money in that area, if he keeps all the above. Barton, as I think Softie pointed out, needs someone pushing for his place (perhaps Griffin?), but midfield and attack, as pointed out by all and sundry, are the areas we really have to bolster if we're to challenge for the league (and UEFA cup of course) next season.

Don't you think it's going to be harder to get into Europe next season, unless of course they offer the EPL and extra Champions League and UEFA Cup spot.

It'll get to the point that winning the Worthington cup will be worth something, and so will the intertoto cup. As at the moment there is no way that all of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leeds and Manure are off to europe next season. Unless of course Chelsea wins the FA cup and comes fifth

Don't forget that all the above except Liverpool are in the semi- finals of European competition. I reckon they'll all be in Europe, together with sixth place in the League. 3 in the Champions, and 4 in the UEFA including Leicester.
