A quick analysis of my verbal vomit was how the F#*k can any Media empire justify spending 1 billion pounds on a four year EPL package that involves showing 66 games per season that are aired on Sundays and Mondays.

Where do you think Sky TV would be today if it hadn't effectively cornered the EPL market several years ago? I'll tell you then - nowhere.

I was reading recently that an amazingly large percentage of UK Sky subscribers, subscribe primarily to get access to the live EPL games, along with which comes the best of the Nationwide, Scottish PL, and Spain's Premiera Liga. Sky also enjoy the distribution rights for PL games worldwide. It is quite simply the jewel in Sky's crown.
