Wembley Meet(ings) Thread

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I guess we need a thread to sort out who's meeting whom and where.

Unfortunately I can't make anything until the day of the match when I will be in the Post Office in Wembley from 11am. Anyone else plan to pop into the Post Office to say hello?

So....post on this thread if you plan to meet up either the night before the match or on the day...

WE'RE COMING !!!!!!!!!......Fifties Fan and val, that is.

I'm sure there have been directions posted before to the Post Office but if any kind soul would like to stick them on this thread as well, it wouldn't half help. Been offline for a fair bit recently.

Am I going to continue to feel vaguely nauseous until next Sunday ? So far, I do and I ain't sick. Oh, WHY do we care so much ????

val.

If a few lads from Jarra can walk to London and back, I suppose I can manage half of what they achieved. Only thing is I have to work on Monday, hmmm I've got a problem

Val, if my memory serves me correctly, you get off the tube and turn right towards the stadium. You have about a mile to walk along a parade of shops, and the Post Office is on your right as you walk along. You can't miss it; there's lots of lads and lasses there all with healthy complexions after the night before...one of them usually has an American accent and can't be doing with a bottle of Broon first thing in the morning. Not mentioning any names of course (Ciara).

Why are the vast majority of fans meeting for a drink before the game. Shirts can be difficult in the centre of London, and Wembley drinking is a bit wank. Any ideas??? Where are all the Geordie pubs in London???

Hahaha....

London is ALL MAG when we're in town...

Wembley drinking is a bit wank ??? Surely that depends on who you're drinking with .. sorry was the question 'why are fans meeting up before the match '?? Im sure the answer to that is not that difficult is it ? There are plenty of mag pubs in london .. starting with the Punch and Judy in Covent Garden , but .. however seeing as ive never seen your name on here before im not going to recommend any meets , sufficed to say there'll be a damn site more Toon fans than chews there .

A mile from the Underground, Softie? Seems I wasn't the only one feeling the effects of the night before! Val, it's actually only a block or two from Wembley Central stop, on the right. You can't miss it.
And this year I've learned my lesson. Lay in hangover supplies(water, aspirin, food before hitting the pub. And yes, mines a lemonade on Sunday pre-game. ;-)))

Ops..I meant where are fans meeting for a few pints before the game. "Why are fans meeting for drinks before the game", will be the sort message posted on the Chewlsee BBS.

I haven't been on this board since my internet access was taken away at work a few months ago, but It's been reinstated now. I'm not sure what a "chew" is, explain.

The Post Office?

Isn't that the big tall place near Euston and Kings X? Just look oot the window from the train and you can't miss it.

Mind you, I can't see the Toon Army forming an orderly queue behind those daft ropes waiting their turn for Cashier Number 5. But as Geordie said, at least it ain't pension day.
