spokane

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

i have made two new subjects in one day. i think i am going overboard. the spokane show was cool...very rockish. they played a lot of new stuff (i really like 'such is life') and the only song from 'Dream This' was Drive. The show was part of a festival so their set was pretty short (they were on first). There were a lot of younger people and they seemed to really like the band. They were by far the best band there (save ferris, 22 jacks, lit) but we all knew they would be, of course.

i didn't tape because security was stupid and almost didn't let me in. gary was coming to save me but then i made them let me in anyway so it was all good. i also didn't take pictures and my dad's turned out crappy.

my pictures of portland music millennium were blurry. i am selling that stupid camera. i hate it. it looks like it's in focus and it's not.

A stack of amps or speakers or something else musically related and heavy fell in the middle of their set (because of wind) and nearly crushed Craig. Also, Chris broke his finger before the show playing football.

adam barbequed. craig warmed up my hand. chris talked to me about writing and poetry. gary told me he knows nothing about 1) tour dates 2) summer plans or 3) a new single. chris said i was in all their shots from the beatles show. that scares me. craig gave people water.

i can't think of much else from the spokane show. i think i have sensory overload. it's all starting to run together. i really really really want to go to the la show. i can't believe i am even thinking about it.

but i am.

even though la is scary.

kelly, kathy, and EVERYONE who posted anything about portland and spokane.....thank you so much :)

im insanely jealous ;), but its wonderful we have each other to share this stuff with! i've lived vicariously through all of you, lol*

the best thing about mondays is being able to be home and in your pajammies by 530pm.

i bought the longpigs CD today, after spending most of the last year looking for it EVERYWHERE....it just appeared, in a glowing halo, in front of me while i was at best buy. i also bought the get up kids, which i think i am going to totally dig.

in anthro class today, we talked about language and about how "wicked" is a slang term....and i was like "its a massachusetts word!" and everyone was like "whoaa....jill DOES talk!". and then we talked about boston accents and i thought of how excited erin was about sue's, lol*

the next time we party at aimee's, i am making us quick chicken pasta. it is downright incredible food. you will eat it and you will love it. i will make it for ANY folderites who visit my lovely abode. its that good.

okimgone.

and jill, >>>in anthro class today, we talked about language and about how "wicked" is a slang term....and i was like "its a massachusetts word!" and everyone was like "whoaa....jill DOES talk!". and then we talked about boston accents and i thought of how excited erin was about sue's, lol* <<< thank you for letting me live vicariously through you and your anthro class!

i was just wondering the other day how you and barb could live in the same state as sue and *that bobby kid* and how you and barb have no detectable accents whatsoever. on the other hand........those other two sound like cliff claven! :P (well, not in the doofy way, but you get my meaning.)

okay...i gotta get back to work. my aluminum cd should be in the mail today. yahoo!

longpigs rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chrisnotseefried - the reason barb and i have no accents is because we are from western MA. sue and bobby are from eastern/northeastern MA.

massachusetts likes to pretend its the size of texas. but people do really talk different 90 miles east. its weird. people also talk different from new hampshire.

and if you are around them long enough, you find yourself saying "ohmygawd" and "ca*" as well. its catching.

before you get silly, protect your willy.
