Yep. Younger (38) with B.A. English and Philosophy, marketing executuve, married, 6 figures plus. For those who would profile me, there. Just added this to the idea that this board may be younger, more- learned, and of a middle-middle class persuasion.

Anyway, we had several threads like this on the old board, and one this year before the split, which I started. There were many flames on the thread I started, mostly from the conspiratorialists, who seem to have all followed Yourden to EZ.

Anyone know where those threads are?

Masters, counseling. Income may be irrelevant.Education irrelevant. Analysis data probably weighted variable. IT conditioned participants advantaged one aspect. Older, internalized data base participants advantaged other directions. Looks like pattern analysis aptitude playing role. This characteristic not confined sterotypically, which is characteristic of old board, probably Uncensored as well.

My wife's a technical writer with a BS in Computer Science, a BA in English with a minor in Journalism, and just about to get her MA in English Lit. No kids. We make in the high six figures.

BSc, Major in physics, minors - Maths and computer science. NZED(Electrical Engineering), Electrotechnology, System Control. Dip PSM(Power System Management), Generation, Distribution, Trading. Currently studying meteorology, climatology and hydrology (but not for any recognised degree.

Funny--I thought the people on this board were primarily over 50. Must be my age bias showing.

"j" of jpjgood has a BS and MS in industrial engineering, a PhD in the same and a PE. "p" of jpjgood has a BA in arts and letters and a BS in industrial engineering. We were on the faculty at Penn State for ~20 years and the last 15 in business for ourselves.

The last "j" in jpjgood has 2 yrs college and just set himself up in his own business----twirling pizzas. We have VERY mixed emotions about this.

FS--I believe degrees were granted well before your time. chuckle. Gilda--From your postings I expect you have a LONG string of letters after your name.

Folks:

One final thing before I leave. It is easy for me to list a few degrees. It would take pages to describe practicle knowledge. I know how to climb an ice fall, skin a catfish, scale a bass and gut a trout. As someone who doesn't eat much meat that is a useful thing? This is not a meaningless quest. You folks know many more things than the rest of us. Education is important, and its importance can't be denied, but pract. knowledge is also important. Chime in. Got to go.

Pam, I guess my age bias is showing since I also thought most people here were over 50. I've just turned 54, which is older than I ever thought I'd be. My education is BA in psychology, minor in stat. Post grad education in contruction and project management. I've had my own project management and computer consulting firm for the last 10 years working mostly with electric utilities. Things are a lot slower with Y2K over (or at least working a normal work week sure seems slower).

As another question, for those of you above a "certain" age, do you remember calculating how old you'd be in the year 2000 and thinking either you'd never live that long or be in a wheelchair if you did? :^)
