i am kinda weird from lack of sleep right now, so I will keep this short. The music millennium thing was very cool and my bootleg turned out awesome! They played for about 40 minutes. The password was garyderosa, and then it was mustache. Also, Gary pulled out a big can of whoopass on the girl who stole his parking space. :)

Then a few hours later was the rooftop Beatles thing. they set a stage up on the roof of a building and they played to the crowd below. Gary told us that my family could go up on the roof, along with a few of other people. Side note: some guy heard Gary tell us this and tried to pull out a can of whoopass on Gary when he found out he couldn't go up there too. So Adam came out a few minutes later and escorted us to the roof, which was really bizarre. There were scary ladders and stuff. But we all made it up and down (when you went down it looked like a stream of people running into an outhouse (think nanook of the north canoe scene). They all wore fur on stage. For the Beatles part I actually got to go up on the stage with them. I sat in the corner by Craig with another girl in a weird hat whom they had recruited earlier in the day to announce the Beatles, though she never did. EPU Mike (wannebe Boston girl) was rocking out up on the stage too. I taped this too but it was not as good as the other show [bootleg wise]. My dad took a role of b & w which i think will come out good. oh yeah, my dad took some pictures for gary...and at the end of the beatles show these security gaurds dressed of like police came up on stage to take them away...but then the REAL police showed up and my dad thought they part of the stunt, so he took their picture!! He said he even moved them closer together and told them to smile :)

Then the sad part....i somehow managed to leave spokane with no money, no credit cards and no freaking ID. I missed the third show :( That was a very sucky moment knowing I should have been allowed inside. We could watch from the stairs though, so I stayed for three songs, but my brother was sick and my mom has a perpetual headache so we left.

it was a very amazing day, and as always, i owe it all to Gary, Craig, Chris, and Adam (and Mike! thanks for trying to get us in to the 21+ show!). I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

i just got back from portland about an hour ago... damn 2 hour flight delays!! ugh. anyway, i'll try to post a semi-decent review this time, because i never do, although i love when other people do so please continue to do so!

i got 2 hours of sleep friday night because i had to get up at 5 am, so needless to say, i was very exhausted when i got to portland... but i got over it. the music millenium thing was really cool. it was tiny! there were 3 couches and a couple of chairs set up in front of this little 3 foot high stage, and there were maybe 15 of us who were there specifically to see them, who went to all 3 shows... kelly's family, 2 other families, and me. kind of sucked to be there by myself, but everyone else was really nice. one of the families had these 2 little girls, who were 8 and 4 or 5, and the 8 year old knew all the songs and kept singing along, it was so cute. i dont remember exactly what they played... it was all acoustic, and from what i can remember, they did ferris wheel, flatline static, drive, november bombs, and space boy, which i have been wanting to hear forever and am very grateful to chris for being willing to play for me, it was beautiful. there might have been a few other songs, but i dont remember... anyway, it was really awesome, and we will definitely have to trade soon, kelly!

the beatles show was incredible too. i didnt show up til about 6 and saw some people standing outside the theatre, but no one i recognized, which i was surprised about... then a few minutes later i noticed them all on the roof, which i was about to get really jealous about but then gary saw me and mouthed to come up, so i just went up the steps into the theatre, and even had to ask some guy who worked there how to get to the roof, and he told me. i was really surprised they didnt question me at all, very relieved though. anyway, it was so cool to see them play those songs, especially from up there... i kept on looking down and seeing a big crowd on the sidewalk that kept growing, so i guess they won over some new fans. chris had grown a beard for the occasion to look like paul macartney, and said he had been planning to shave it in between sets when they were done, but decided not to. it looked good. they sounded great, and i will definitely have to get the "let it be" album, those were such great songs. i got some mp3s of those songs before the show so i recognized them, but i thought they all sounded much better with joe 90 playing them :) it was cool seeing gary get to sing a lot on "i got a feeling", all i ever hear him get to do is the "coming around again" thing in ferris wheel, he has a great voice though!

after that, we all went down that scary ladder and inside the theatre, but a guard was already set up inside and wouldnt let me, kelly, or the 2 14 or 15 year old girls there in, but it was cool of the guys to try talking to the managers for us. we got to watch from the stairs in the back of the bar, until the last 3 songs when they made us go to the restaurant area so they could let people up the stairs for this fight night thing, but at least i could see most of it and hear all of it. the dance floor was completely empty though, it was pathetic. that set was great too, the new song "such is life" was really pretty, and it was cool to hear "reachin" live and especially "superhero", which i love and had never gotten to hear live before. anyway, sorry you missed most of that one kelly, i wondered what had happened to you! glad the spokane show was good too... i am completely exhausted and have spent way too much money this weekend, but it was all worth it. thanks so much to the guys for such incredible shows, i cant wait for next weekend!

i just wanted to add that as soon as I can get my act together i'll get the shows out and about. I already put one of them on cd so that I could take a copy to Gary and Chris this afternoon, but I can not find a program to insert track markers into the audio file for macintosh. i think i am going to send my MD's to a friend who can put them on his computer, clean them up, put in track markers, and send me a cd back so i can burn them right. until then i can put it up in real audio or as one big mp3. 'space boy' was awesome! so was 'when i die.' so was everything else.

Also, I know that while I was in Vegas I let the whole alt.music.misc thing slide, and i know most of you probably prefer the new joe 90 aol folder, but please, please, please continue with the the newsgroup thing. If you all seem agreeable, i think we should abandon the idea of the e pluribus group and make it a joe 90 group. it's only joe 90 fans who are posting, so I don't see the point in the more general group. because I have had so much help from the duke daniels people, i am going to go ahead and send proposals for both alt.music.joe-90 and alt.music.duke-daniels.

later.
