Semi Final - US/Canadian Mags

I am having great difficulty in locating Semi Final T.V. coverage here in Calgary. All my usual outlets are coming up blank and the best I can do so far is a tape delay next Monday night. Any suggestions, I hate tape delay. Using Dougal's logic, we always lose on tape delay.....Help!!!!

Get thyself across the border, Pete! I can't believe none of the pubs up there will have the satellite broadcast. Is there such thing as a cheap ticket to Chicago or Seattle from there? I do know of a place in Seattle that are supposed to have it live at 7am. I don't know if it works with travel originating in Canada, but 3 of my favorite travel sites are www.travelocity.com, www.previewtravel.com, and www.expedia.com. Even though they should all have access to the same flight databases, they don't. I often find availability on one but not the others. Also see if any of the airlines serving Calgary have weekend internet specials. Good luck!

I,m already thinking along those lines. I,ll check some more around here, but maybe Seattle is the answer. I,ll have to be extra nice to the missus and see if she'll spring some of her frequent flyer points for me. I see the flight schedule shows literally dozens of flights between Calgary/Seattle, both ways. Anyone know of a nice hotel in Seattle??

I stayed at the Pacific Plaza when I was there, and thought it was nice. Not the Four Seasons(though only a block away), but it was clean, centrally located, and is an older building so the rooms aren't cookie cutter Holiday Inn-type. I think they are/were doing some renovations, and a building was due to be constructed next door so it's worth asking about. Of course I was there 2 years ago, so that may or may not be relevant anymore ;-) The pub is The George and Dragon....http://www.georgeanddragonpub.com/
My friends go there alot, though they'll most likely go for the 6pm replay. If you happen to see 2 sisters named Lynne and Dianne, say hi for me. And tell them to send my package already! :-))

Thanks Ciara, I certainly appreciate it. A weekend in Seattle sounds like fun. Been a few years since I was there. I,m assuming this time of year an umbrella will be in order :)
