Carl and Dee and Martin Are ONLY Posters Here

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread

100 percent of the drivel posted here is from these "three" persons.

Are the Silly Three really the same person?

I don't consider this stuff drivel. I come to this forum specifically to read what these people post. Why is it that every forum on the internet has idiots who criticize those who post on that forum? If you don't like what they post, don't come to this forum.

-- Paul (skypilot99@aol.com), April 01, 2000.

I'll agree with Paul and say thanks to the ones that post the info.

-- awdragon (awdragon@yahoo.com), April 01, 2000.

Thank God for these three. I come here every day to read what they post. This is the Last Outpost for meaningful y2k information, and these people do a wonderful job of keeping us informed.

-- Uncle Fred (dogboy45@bigfoot.com), April 01, 2000.

Three cheers for the Big Three. And, let's not forget Uncle Bob. And, where is Homer Beanfang?

This is my first stop every day. And, that's right, this is the most valuable last outpost for y2k news. Much appreciated.

Keep up the great work, gang.

Thanks so much to these notable three: Carl, Martin, and Dee, for their unstinting efforts to share valuable information. Thanks too to others who have been posting who have also been providing such a helpful service! Here's hoping that Homer Beanfang will also soon become a contributor to GICC if he is not already posting here.

I, too, am indebted to this small group of dedicated people who hang in there--in the face of the great hue and cry that y2k is a hoax. I check in here frequently to see what the latest happenings add up to, and find this, perhaps, my most valuable source of information.

Consider all of the odd things that STILL do not add up, e.g. copper production down; nickel production down; EVERY FORM of energy production BEHIND the comparable period last year--natural gas inventories 23% lagging, propane, 50%, and nuke power far behind. These are the leaders in crumbling energy producton. Why? OPEC has nothing to do with natural gas, propane, or nuke power.

And, how about car production? For February, car sales were UP 11%, yet car production was DOWN. Why? Doesn't increased production always chase increased sales when the supply chain is in natural balance?

Then there's railroad derailments. They are running some 600% ABOVE the average for the past 30 years. Could it be that it's because these have primarily to do with signals and switchs--and signals and switches have primarily to do with computers?

Other oddities: Why the delay in shipments of soy beans from South America (for "technical reasons")? Why the abnormal 30-60 waiting period on residential siding, along with the 150% price increase over 6 weeks (for a product whose price has barely moved in 10 yers)? Why the slowly developing shortages in some important prescription drugs, mostly antibiotics?

Lots of unanswered questions yet. And, I get a lot of PRECIOOUS information from this forum--which, I hope, will eventually help me to answer them.

Many thanks, people. Your work does not go unapprecited here.

Not quite the only ones. Just among the very best.

I lurk daily as well and appreciate the time and effort put into maintaining the board.

I think Lee Maloney should be given a lot of credit for keeping this forum alive in the begining. I consider Lee one of the better researchers for y2k information which has always been difficult to dig out.

Thanks everyone for the Kudos, will keep plugging away.

Carl and Dee and Martin, great work.

I really appreciated the news I check in here several times daily.

Please keep up the good work!

-- Fuzzy (perry@ofuzzy1.com), April 01, 2000.

Yes, we can't forget Lee Maloney. And, Carl, Martin, and Dee, I read most of everything you put up, and have come to rely on you. Many thanks.

The is the best clearing house for y2k informaton on the Web.

-- Billiver (Billiver1@aol.net), April 01, 2000.

I'll add my two cents. Thanks first to those who started this forum and to Critt Jarvis for spreading word of its existence. Thanks next to everyone who does all the research necessary to find the articles posted here. And thanks to the moderators who maintain the forum.

I too am a daily visitor.

-- Rachel Gibson (rgibson@hotmail.com), April 01, 2000.

I visit five web sites daily, and this one is my first stop and my favorite. This is great credit to all of you who put in so much effort to make it work.

As JackW says, there are a lot of discoveries about y2k out there yet to be made. I'm anxious to have a front row seat, right here, when this happens.

-- LillyLP (lilyLP@aol.com), April 01, 2000.

Another three cheers for those three here. I visit daily to find out what's happening. Y2K is still a threat, failures are still happening, nobody is talking. Thanks

-- Tom Flook (tflook@compuserve.com), April 02, 2000.

I would like to say a BIG 'thank you' to those who initiated this forum, and to those who maintain it. And, another thank you to the fine researchers and posters who contribute to the '360 Degree'. ;)

I sincerely appreciate the kind comments made on this thread. Thank you very much for the support.

Best wishes to everyone, Dee

Thanks, Martin. You're quite a gentleman. Thanks also to Billiver for the nice comments. Personal issues are keeping me away from the board. Nevertheless, I echo the same thoughts of gratitude to the GICC group, posters and commentators alike. You make a fine team.

Ah! It's so nice to hear from the GICC readers once in awhile. Gives those pro posters a great shot in the arm!

You all would be surprised by the sheer number of people who stop by here to read, not to mention who they actually are. The GICC's "one- stop-shopping" list of daily infrastructure news has become an awfully convenient news-mall for quite a few government agencies and media outlets, according to my secret-super-duper-top-notch-insider- decoder-ring-spies. Well, they also fess up via email, too. ;-)

Lee, Carl, Dee and Martin... you already know we love ya. To our occassional posters, thanks for the variety!

FYI - there is so much information here that the GICC team has decided to look around for funding for analysis. HOWEVER, that doesn't mean that we don't welcome yours. In fact, our readers have incredible expertise and insight in all these subjects. We'd love to have your thoughts and analysis. Spread the wisdom, turn on the light, make us think. We love those group AHA's.

Got an interested funding source? Let us know.
