Did anyone else see the story of Shearer hiring out his boots to footballers to help their game?

I hear Anelka and Sutton did not bother to ring they turned up personally to get a pair of his boots.

My personal favourite this year was the one about the people who painted a zebra crossing on the M3 motorway just outside Basingstoke in Hampshire.
