Reports today say Bobby will go for Weaver in the summer if City don't get promotion. Excellent young Keeper but they are talking about #5 mill for him. Load of crap I reckon, we haven't got that money to 'waste' on a keeper when we have other areas that need strengthening.

Unless Bobby has lots more money than we think. Paper talk all the same I think. Still not 100% convinced about Harper/Given but nearly there!!

NEWCASTLE UNITED have been linked with a move for Spanish international goalkeeper Toni Prats. The Real Betis stopper is one of the most flamboyant keepers in the game, and is renowned for his free-kicks and penalties.

The 28-year-old will just have one year left in his current deal in the summer and Betis would rather cash in on him now than let him go for nothing next season.

Toon boss Bobby Robson has been linked with a host of keepers recently, including Nicky Weaver, Vitor Baia and Magnus Hedman, and it looks very likely that a new keeper will be a Magpie priority in the close-season.
