Trussville listings left out of new telephone book

If you need a Trussville phone number, don't look in your BellSouth White Pages - at least not yet.

Before the utility distributed the 2000-2001 phone book earlier this month, a computer glitch at the printers zapped 5,000 Trussville phone listings.

The phone company directed its printer to whip up more than a half million supplements for every BellSouth customer in the Birmingham area, said BellSouth spokeswoman Terri Denard.

She said the omission was traced to a new system that produced the 2000-2001 White Pages. "There was a conversion problem
