Dinner and recreation at the relays

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

Having started the entry form and hoping I'm the last to put it in the mail, I find myself scratching my head on the question about the dinner. Have others decided to join in the planned merriment? Or will OK sequester itself and wait for the merriment until after the work has been done?

Also, are there any minigolf courses nearby?

I'd suggest an OK-only dinner on Saturday night.

Traditionally, OK hosts an invitation-only (and very exclusive, I might add) dinner the evening before the relays.

I almost never sign up for the (usually very lame) dinner. This time, however, I did because the Saturday awards are going to be given out. Of course, I can always do what I did last Saturday: eat somewhere else and then go to the dinner site in time for the awards (if I manage to squeak out an award in F40...).

F40? Obviously some members of the team aren't taking the relays seriously by running in their A classes the day before the relays. Why don't we all just run the blue course?

I think it is probably a good idea for Peggy to run her A category the day before the relays (I think it is a green course). Peggy will be running the yellow-leg in the relay. If she's too well rested, there is a big risk of running too fast.

I think I am also signed up for my A-class the day before (M35 on the red course).
