What's giving you stress?

ooh, and when I'm stressed, I often get sick on top of it. There is certainly some connection between stress and wellness, I'm sure.

But I'm not stressed. I don't think so anyway. Things could be better, but that's not giving me stress at the moment.

I know I saw this sig line recently about eating the elephant one bite at a time, but usually, I spend 3 weeks on the leg, and then have to finish the rest of the beast in 2 days.

My sister has regular appointments with a masseuse. I don't do that myself, but I can imagine it's a great stress reducer (if you could squeeze it into your budget) (sounds like a great birthday present hint hint)

Stress? Absolutely! When I got my doctorate, I thought I'd never have to do an exam ever again... Now I'm in law school, getting up at 0530 every day and worrying about exams-- too afraid to open grades at all the last 3 semesters... I also stress about being absolutely broke and about having absolutely zero appeal to girl humans... It's spring, and watching all the girl humans here in skimpy outfits I'm racked with envy, desire, and self-loathing. I can't get to sleep (I *hate* going to bed at 2200 instead of my standard 0100!!), I'm tired all day, I have no energy at all, and my memory has completely evaporated. I can't recall anything I've read day to day. I can't concentrate and I just don't...care.

I'm stressed over packing. I should be packing this minute. Tomorrow, the movers are coming to load up my stuff and move it out west, because I'm moving to California this weekend. My stuff leaves tomorrow, I fly out of RDU to San Jose on Saturday.

Then there's all the apartment hunting I can look forward to, hoping I find something by the time my belongings reach CA so the movers have somewhere to deliver them. Plus, there's starting my new job.

So, basically, I'm upheaving my life again, and next week, I start it over once more, out in CA.

On the other hand, I suppose I'll be out your way, Jen, in time to make your birthday party, if one more's okay?

I WAS stressed yesterday. But today, I'm okay. Yesterday, I had an Advanced Biology test to study for, a Spanish 2 test to study for, a Bible test to study for, and my rough draft of my research paper is due Friday. I've gotten a grand total of 370 out of the 1800-2000 words required for it.

I'm also stressing over college stuff, like financial aid, more scholarships!!!, wondering if my rich uncles will ever WAKE UP and use a tiny bit of their millions of dollars on my college education instead of their mercedes and million dollar houses. --but I'm not bitter, I promise! :o)

A little. I'm finally taking a sick day from school tomorrow. But that means my kids get a sub, which means I can't leave -exactly- what I want to do. I guess I'm full of myself in that I feel like absolutely no learning can get done when I'm not there, but at some point I have to listen to my body. Scratchy throat Monday, scratchier throat Tuesday, today I get a little headache on top of that, and then--right at the end of fifth period--WHAMMO!!! I'm sick. So I spend until 5:00 at school cleaning up and getting everything ready. LET THE CHILDREN WATCH A VIDEO! I'm staying home.

Yes, I'm stressed. I have three tests next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I have two projects due on Monday.

However, I've been in this position several times before, so I know I will get through this mess. How about you?

Chris

P.S. Hang in there Lohr... I'm in the same boat with the girl situation, so you're not alone.

Stressed. Words can't describe it. Financial stress. Career oriented stress. Love life induced stress from my lack there of. It's all just piling up. And just as somebody stated earlier in the forum, stress induces illness, to some. Count me in on that too. I've had a cold that will be two weeks old tomorrow.

I'm praying for all stress to just one day disapear in my life and in those that posted here. On my hands and knees. TONIGHT.
