First off: My hair. Why will you always look beautiful for the hairdressers and not for me? What did I do? I stopped ironing you for 8 months and you still won't co operate. Arrrgh!

Phil Collins. Randy Newman and Sarah McLachlan should have won! Hell, even 'Blame Canada' should have won.. thanks to Robin Williams, I now love that song.

Money: Where the Hell are you?

Oh, OK, now that you mention it, I have some Oscar rants too.

Angelina Jolie: cut it out already, you're grossing us out. You looked totally cute though.

What the hell was up with Michael Caine winning for Best Actor? It totally should have gone to Haley Joel Osment or Tom Cruise. Usually I hate Tom Cruise, so that's saying a lot, for me, but he was really fantastic in Magnolia.

Did anyone else watch the pre-ceremony and if so, were you also wondering what the hell was up with Tyra Banks' Gone With The Wind prom dress? It looked like crap.

I loved American Beauty, but I really wish that Being John Malkovich had won Best Picture. Yes, I know it wasn't even NOMINATED for that category, but dammit, it should have been. Grr.

Hey! I was all happy that Michael Caine won best supporting actor! He was awesome in "cider house rules" I thought. (tangent forum!?)

Keith's theory about Michael Caine is that if you make a gazillion movies, every once in awhile you'll luck out and get the Oscar.

But come on, Tom Cruise totally ruled in Magnolia, I thought he deserved it, and if he didn't, Haley Joel Osment did, just for being precocious.

I haven't seen the Cider House Rules (I know, I am an evil person), so I don't really have an opinion on him.

But Tyra Banks reminded me of that girl in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory that ate the meal that ballooned her up into a grape.

I laughed SO hard at the South Park guys outfits! One of them wore the Jennifer Lopez Grammy dress and the other on wore the Gweneth Paltrow dress from last year. That's good stuff...

Loved Matt & Trey's killer outfits, was pissed that they didn't get shown on TV. I think it would have been a riot if their song had won and they'd got to go up in their dresses to accept it.

And, erm, I haven't actually seen Cider House Rules, either. So, OK, I don't know what I'm talking about when I say that Michael Caine shouldn't have won. But come on! Tom Cruise ruled! That should be reason enough!

Also, was anyone besides me totally weirded out by Angelina Jolie's thing with her brother?

You didn't see 'cider house rules' . Now, I'm not a Michael Caine whore or anything. Spacey yes, I think that man is a god. Anyway, Caine honestly delivered in CHR, i was very impressed. Next, Cruise. You know, i just find the boy over-rated. Of course, *I* didn't see Magnolia, either.

You must go see Magnolia! It was awesome. Usually I hate Tom Cruise, because his pretty-boy good looks and gladhanding manner annoy the crap out of me. However, his role in Magnolia was a real departure (do I sound like a film critic yet) and was really cool to boot. Jan Bob sez, four stars.

I MUST go see magnolia? how about wait and rent it? I just can't picture me blowing eight bucks on tom cruise, i'm sorry. I know everyone goes on and on about it, but when i think tom cruise i think top gun or jerry maguire.. but yes i'll rent it... and knowing me, i'll kick myself at that point for not going to see it at the theatre.

I can't stand Ethan Hawk. Male chauvinist, self centered, egomaniacal, no talent hack!
