From Teletext: LEICESTER SEVEN FOUND GUILTY BY FA Seven Leicester players and officials charged with irresponsible distribution of 1999 Worthington Cup final tickets have been found guilty by the FA. Andy Impey received the heaviest punishment with his #20,000 fine and five-year ban from receiving tickets for home internationals, cup finals or cup semi-finals. One of his tickets was used by a Spurs fan who was seen punching a Foxes fan. FA PUNISHMENTS FOR LEICESTER SEVEN Andy Impey: #20,000 fine and five-year ticket ban. Arnar Gunnlaugsson: #15,000 fine and five-year ticket ban. Tony Cottee: #12,500 fine and three-year ticket ban. Scott Taylor (now at Wolves): #7,500 fine and two-year ticket ban.
So they've all been fined about a weeks wages, well that will teach them won't it?
I hope this copied well

You missed the most important ones off the bottom: members of backroom staff and also GRAHAM FENTON. Remember him?

It was on page three wasn't it. Duh. Okay the rest of the list:
Graham Fenton: #5,000 fine and two-year ticket ban. David Nish (academy director): #10,000 fine and three-year ticket ban. Jim Melrose (chief scout): #5,000 fine and five-year ticket ban. All seven have been fined #2,500 costs.

I wonder how Fenton feels about 5k and a 2 year ticket ban to go with his lifetime's exlusion order from Newcastle. Scoring them may have been his job but he shouldn't have been so ecstatic about it. Bastard.

I remember Sir Les scored against us a couple of seasons ago, when we still weren't clear of relegation (Dalglish's season). He scored and was swamped by his team mates but he seemed embarassed and didn't celebrate. I think (hope) he knew what we were all going through so didn't want to add salt into our wounds.
My esteem for him went up that day (it had always been high)

Talking of Fenton, whatever happened to Ronnie Fenton? He's a sand- dancer & I went to school with him. Anyone old enough to remember him?
