Mackem records

I see that they're all billing and cooing about getting 25,000+ to the reserves against Man Utd last night. What they fail to mention is that entrance was free, their usual gate is 3,000 and that in the same fixture last year the charity collection buckets passed around raised a measley #120 despite a similar turnout. Proof, if it were needed, that Mackems are tight fisted, free-loading, glory-hunting saddos.

That will account for LR's misconception that manc sympathisers had infiltrated the Geordie capital - they were obviously from mackumsville. Cheeky get innee.

Makems are very generous human beings, they donated #145 to the SOS people outside the SOL on Saturday, as opposed to only #210 collected away at Liverpool and #190 at Everton the week before.

Must be because NUFC getting torn apart by court cases must be the best laugh they've had in ages. I think most NUFC fans have a natural aversion to paying money to SOS since it'll be spent on them paying their lawyers who are hoping to win loads of the other money we have already paid to the Club. Of course, since the Club isn't an individual, but a profit-making organisation, you can guarantee that if SOS spend our cash on winning more of our cash, the Club will recoup their losses by charging us yet more cash. I'm not paying 3 times for the same wrong.

Don't the Toon hold the record for attendance at a reserve match - 44,000 or summat?
