Looking for a flower

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I'm looking for a wildflower called a 'Maltese Cross'. It is included in a pack of wildflower seeds from Ferry Morse. I tried their web site, but can't get through. Has any one heard of these or know where to get them? Thanks, Chris

Gurney's seed and nursery co out of Yankton, SD ( www.gurney's.com) has the seeds on page 35 of the 2000 catalog.

Thank you so much for your answers. I knew I'd find the answer here. The reason I want the flower is that my dad just passed away. He was the one I spoke about in Germs-bacteria and viruses under Uncatagorized. Anyway, he is from Malta and I am planting a memorial garden, that's why I want the seeds. Thanks, Chris

Hi, can't get gurney's.com to come up. Is there another E-mail address for this co.? Chris

Chris, eliminate the apostrophe in the web address and you should get it to come up. Good luck.

Sorry Chris. Colleen is right. Should be www.gurneys.com.

Oops again! I see that the catalog has plants, not seeds. I have had seeds though and have many catalogs. I'll keep looking.

Chris, I just my be able to help you out! I have two of these flower plants in my perennial garden, one pink and one white. Please email me and I will send you some seeds in the spring from mine. I would appreciate a sase please. I am very sorry about your dad but I think a memorial would be lovely. My father passed away also and he loved to feed the birds, so each Christmas when I visit his grave, I spread bird seed on his grave.
