lets be honest

Watching the game on Saturday I thought we were crap, no I mean it. Absolute toilet. We couldn't string any passes together. Dunc and Al looked disinterested, was Gary Speed playing? It looked like the whole game was played in our half except for maybe 15 minutes in the second half. Duncan should have got a penalty, Dyer should have scored. Liverpool should have won by at least 3. Again we were crap. Bitter, bitter, bitter.

??????! So why didn't they?

Divven't taak bollox. We contained them very well, when we chose to attack we hit the post, scored, had a clear pen disallowed - what did they do? Nowt that Shay couldn't deal with for the most part.

You weren't watching properly, although I agree Speed was slightly anonymous.

Go and put your black and white specs on and don't post anything again until you do.

Jonno. Specs firmly in place. Funny but I can't see how you can say that we were anything more than pedestrian. Al and Dunc were AWOL, speed and lee were almost invisible. I don't think I heard Dyers name until he hit the post. The Geordies sounded great though. the only reason why Liverpool didn't score more was because their finishing was horrible and shay made some great saves. It'll be good to be back home though next week.

Welcome to the club Syme. What p****s me off more than how badly they may have played is this fatal flaw of hoying games away in the last minute. I'd far rather they hadn't equalised. I mean, it's not as if they don't know L'pool like the back of their hand.

There surely must have been some way to organise the defence so that whichever pool player had the ball, there'd have been so many bodies round him, he'd have had no chance to do anything constructive, especially that late in the game.

P****d off is an understatement. Utter loathing of the useless t***s just about sums up how I felt at quarter to five. That lasted well into Sat night - now I'm just p****d off.

Being a fan of this lot ain't easy if you can't suspend disbelief.

Remember the "one eye on the cup" run in, I think I had myself convinced last year. Bradford will be a different story, Newcastle expects......
