I'm an old die-hard fan of the manual 35mm SLR's, thinking the time may have come to purchase a digital camera. I have a few questions that I hope Mike Rubin can answer:

1) I already have a flash (Sunpak) and am wondering if the Nikon 990 will support third-party flash units. If so are there any requirements I need to be aware of (e.g. voltage)?

2) I'm a little confused about all the Nikon and third-part lens adapters and step-up rings. Will any of these permit me to use my old manual (or AF) Nikkor lenses?
