The TSM saga continues (Rangers Celtic 4-0)

Well I'm sure the lads gave their all and no more could have been asked of them and those who criticise ought to examine their waistlines ...

At least the Celtic fans can draw comfort in the knowledge that their reserve and youth policies are being improved beyond all recognition and that they just need a little patience - well all right then a lot of patience. But if they can hang in there long enough all will be well - coz he'll be sacked.

Actually, there's no way he will remain in charge of team affairs - I don't think he has the bottle for it and knows he is a busted flush as a manager. He will be scuttling away for the backroom again ASAP.

It's all Tommy Burns fault, Dalglish is a god and can do no wrong.

Dalglish just puts excellent foundations in place for future managers to build on.

Robson wouldn't be able to get the success he has if it wasn't for the re-introduction of the junior side by Dalglish. Players like Aaron Hughes for example just wouldn't be there to put into the first team.

Why does everyone hate Dalglish? He reintroduced the reserves.

Under Keegan we only had 15 or so great players. Dalglish built the squad to a better size.

I'd rather have 50 poor/average players than 20 world class players.

So long as we pay the poor players as much as we would great players then they will perform better. After all, if you pay peanuts you'll get monkeys.

Nick asks "Why does everyone hate Dalglish?"

The answer, Nick, is that NOT everyone hates Kenny Dalglish" but those that DO can't stop telling us all that they do. And sometimes quite nastily.

Ask his fellow professionals about the man and his abilities. Ask his team who they want.

And Kenny, no bottle, eh ? Yeah, well known for it.

Stand by.......

Not at all. I've never made irrelevant remarks about his waistline for example just concentrated on the facts - ie THE RESULTS and the style of play he lumbered us with. On this basis there is really no argumement - he doesn't cut it anymore. I am sure he is a decent man but that has never been questioned by me except when he attempted to sue the club instead of walking away after a job badly done.

I supported him as long as humanly possible when he was here (and never joined CND) but there came a point before the cup final when I realised that he was wearing the emperor's new clothes and I had conned myself into believing that the likes of Hamilton and Andersson for example were good buys, that Rush was an astute signing, that other players being played out of position were tactical master strokes, that it was sensible to play in our half of the field, that Tino could use his weight up front as a target man thus not being able to use his immense ball playing skills, that Ginola's extraordinary skills were useless if he couldn't track back, etc.

Nick writes :- >>>>I'd rather have 50 poor/average players than 20 world class players.

Priceless! (-;

I think he was being facetious Val.

No matter - we have the right man now - what a shame SJH didn't get him to replace KK eh?
