Nobody here pet. Sorry. You coming to Anfield the morra?

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Evening Mate ;o)

Alas no but I am at SJP for the Bradford game. Might see you in the Strawberry, go with a fellow Strawberry poster.

You off to Anfield tomorrow then?

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

I'm off to see Altrincham play Kettering (only 75 yards from Altys ground). Should be rivetting stuff.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Yep - off to Merkeyside for the 2nd time in 6 days. I had a funny feeling last weekend, but I won't go into that. However, I was confident we would win and I'm equallly confident we won't lose tomorrow. Call me stupid if you like (and I'll smack yer gob if you do - Les learnt me that one!) but I think we could well come away with all 3 points.

Dunno about Bradford yet. Been offered a ticket, but may have to lash out a big wedge to semifinal. However, I am back up in Toon next Thursday/Friday working so will likely be tempted to go to the match to see us pull away from the Mackems.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

It is very quiet all round here tonight.....I'm reduced to trying to get sme rise ut of the makems on the RTG....I did get a reply from Jay on the Strawberry mind you.....have had to change my name as I got banned before.

Krist hasn't yet worked out that Stew Canel is an anagram.

hehehehe

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

ITK - I doubt if Krist could work out that Mary Noot was an anagram either!! Hey - just thought about that one. Copywrighted - OK?

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

I have a nice lazy weekend planned. I plan to do nothing but shop, eat, sleep, drink and of course listen to the Toon.

But I be it doesn't work out that way. It never has before ;o))))

Domi instead of Nobbie tomorrow?

Do you reckon Helder will get a game. BR might rest Howey or Dabs?

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

I'd like to see Domi play from the start but I think he'll start on the bench again. He's done some of his best stuff on the bench, but the cleaners are on top of it now! I think Helder will be in for Kleenex.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Howey needs the games as does Helder - you're spot on rest Dabz.

YKD will replace Nobby & Domi will come on for Gallacher in the 2nd half.

Screach give them a yell for me.

Josh

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Certainly Josh. Sorry you couldn't make it. Give Alty a Screach from me.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

I copywrited Stew Canel some years ago when I was script writing for ITV programmes. In the days when our place was a little bit more touchy about moonlighting.

I think I'll stick to it for a while anyway....till I get banned again probably.

Ah well....stuck in the office for the weekend again, so hoping for some MOTD pics to ease the boredom.

Have you got a meet up with Scratchy organised.....last I heard he was thinking of heading to the Cabbage if he could get directions.

Give a bliddy good shout for me the morra.......and have a pint for me

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Kris aka dad god of 2-1 is so stupid sometimes its frightening.

Who is kleenex?

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Have you seen Catch the Mackem on the NUFC.COM -

http://www.nufc.com/html/catch-mackem.html

I didn't realise how crap they've been

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Yeah....who is Kleenex?

I tried to copy the fall of the Makems to put it into The Daily Toon but it wouldn't copy properly.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Kleenex? Andrex? Whatever. It's what he uses to dab 'es @rse!

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Mackem catching. Hmm - hadn't realised there was a link! Thanks for pointing it oot Josh. Makes great reading.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Yeah shame it took until Christmas for the rest of the league to suss out their play or they would have been in a relegation dog fight by now. Shame that.

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

If they don't win one of their next three matches, they could still now be dragged into the relegation dogfight. As we knew at the start of the season, its very easy to get into the habit of not winning. They have been in that for so long now its even more than a habit.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

It's hard to believe, but by this time tomorrow, we could be in 6th place!! Lowest we could go to would be 13th. However, I don't think we will drop down any places.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

I wonder if Don will play for Everton tomorrow? If he does lets hope he scores a couple.

Was I the only one thinking that Dunc didn't put his heart into last weeks game?

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Don Hutcheone will be on the bench. He won't start and he won't get his armband back. Mind you, I bet he scores! I'd like to see a draw at SoS and and away win at Anfield. That would set me up nicely for a good week!

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Hey Screacher....I was really hoping that everyone would avoid that "by this time tomorrow" line....the last twice it was used on the old Commie board was prior to Bradford (0-2) and West Ham (2-2) last minute equaliser.....

to break the curse, you must stand up, turn round three times in front of your computer chanting Bobby Knows Best, Bobby Knows Best, Bobby Knows Best.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Owen isn't playing so they won't score more than 2 I reckon - Al & Yin are due a couple so with LKDs that means we win.

Night night everybody - Screach - eye witness report here asap tomorrow night please. Mrs Josh & la petite Josh are @ Brownie camp so it's online as soon as the lads in bed - no more - can I use the phone yet etc...

Cheers

Josh

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Same princpal as when you see a single magpie. You hve to turn round three times while saying good morning Mr Magpie to erase the bad luck.

Stupid but effective

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Stew Canel.

I don't suppose you have a Chinese half-brother do you? I once knew a guy known as Fu Canel.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Stew Canel.

He he a distant cousin who was called Ho Lees Hit.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Statistics show that one on four children born in this country is chinese.

I am one of four children, I am not chinese, neither is Bill and neither is Alan.......so I guess it must by the young 'un Chew Chin Chow

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Never believe Stats at least 99% of them are wrong (:o)

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Right ITK - looks like Josh & Jay have gone off to bed. I think I'll join them. Look after Aunty, won't you.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Oops! Looks like just Josh & me!

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Jay

I always though when you saw a lone magpie (the flying variety) you said "Good Morning Mr Magpie, How's Your Wife" to clear the bad luck.........no wonder I have been having such bad luck recently.

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Yeah night all.

And come on the Toon :o)

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

>>>>>>Right ITK - looks like Josh & Jay have gone off to bed. I think I'll join them.<<<<<<<

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 24, 2000

Well there you go....all explained now.

As Auntie doesn't pay me overtime, and I should have finished at midnight....I'm now going to take my leave of you and head homeward... speak to you tomorrow.....WE WANT THREE POINTS.....

Time is 8:10am

And Pistone is on Soccer AM today.

Must tape it as the shops await me ;o)

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

Unbelievable
I got up this morning (11pm GMT) and thought that this thread was from the evening with only two responses. Go to work, come back and see that there's been a further 48. That's the problem with having no time I suppose. So yes I was about, but I'm probably talking to myself now......typical

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

8;30am

No still here watching Soccer AM. Will youy be around for the game then?

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

Yep, even though I can watch it at 2.30 am (rerun) I would prefer to be around here or on the MSN with friends as opposed to watching it on my own.

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

So you are in Oz right? What time is it over there now then?

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

Nope, I'm on Japan. It's 5.50 now. Do the clocks change tonight?

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

Yep they go forward tonight. So we loose an hours sleep ;o)

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

I gain an hour. It means I can go to vbed at 2 am after the Sunday games as opposed to 3 :)

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

That hour's sleep makes all the difference just as well I get to sleep in ! ;o)

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

CLASS

Helen Chamberlain has just called the Sunderland v Everton game and I quote,

"That;s mid table rubbish isn't it"

Thats my quote of the day. No matter what Bobby says about rabbits, salmon and tigers after the game today. ;o)))))

Jay

-- Anonymous, March 25, 2000

That's funny. Thank you for sharing. I'm just stuck with Sky News and even that's been taken off next week!
