Is OK slipping?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

A short while ago OK was listed 47th among 258 active discussion groups on LUSENET. Now we are listed 48th among 270. The problem seems to stem from something called the "Games Workshop Discussion". I think they discuss video games or something? It appears to be a large group so they'll be tough, but not tough enough I suspect. I think we need to make a big push in the next few weeks.

There are two ways to keep the OK discussion page moving up. We can get more different people to post messages and the people who are active can post more messages. Since OK should never settle for anything less than the best, I think we should work on both strategies.

There have been some positive developments in recent months -- Peggy made her first postings and Swampfox became a more frequent contributor.

I would like to see more event reports. Mook, for example, must have some Tucson OC experiences to share. It'd be nice if any time an OKer did an O' event, there was a write-up (even just a few sentences) on the discussion page.

Another sign OK is slipping and not serious about The Relay. There is only 1 Oker who has signed the guest book for the relay page. Something not even Nostradamus could have predicted!!!!!!!!

Now OK is 46th among 274 active groups. It just goes to show you can't keep a good guy down!
