100mm filters for 55mm f3.5 lens

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

A year ago, I bought a Pentax 6x7 MLU body with four lenses, all used but in good condition. I am delighted with the performance of everything; but I can't find filters for the 55mm f3.5 lens. I am starting to reacquaint myself with B&W photograpy and would like to use a few different filters for landscapes. does anyone know of any sources? I have no complaints about the lens otherwise, although I have read that the later models are improved in addition to using a standard filter size. I am a very enthusiastic amateur more concerned with the art than the equipment.

B+W makes several 105mm filters that can be used with a 105mm to 100mm step down ring on your f/3.5. The 105s are expensive however. BTW, the difference in performance between the Super-Takumars/Takumars and the Pentax line is not enough to worry about. SR

Tony,

I too found myself in your situation. I found some on E-Bay. I ended up paying about $40 each and they were in perfect condition. They were actually Pentax original equipment filters with the bayonet mount.

OK! Folks I just acquired a SMC Takumar 55/f3.5 Lens that appears to be in great shape off of ebay. Where can I get a 100mm UV/Haze Filter? I need help here? Please??

There is a 100mm UV filter on Ebay right now. Item #487612101. It's for 55mm f3.5 for 6x7 but the seller doesn't realise that I don't think. Need to be quick - only 1 day to go. Gordon
