Softie can you do me a favour?

I would like player profiles on the following players, Stuart Green, Brian Kerr and Gary Caldwell. I need their; date of birth, nationality, position, representative honours, and a two or three line summary on the player.

Thanx

Tre

Are you doing a web page Tre? I might need to crib the answers because I'm working on the same lines.

No. There's this football site I check out regularly, www.footballtransfers.co.uk , where people can nominate "future stars" from their clubs. Basically it's any young player, 22 or under, who looks like making an impact on the first team.

Unfortunately NUFC only has two players represested, Dyer and Gavilan, while the makem scum have about 5 or so. And I refuse to let them beat us at something. So I've nomitated Domi, Griffin and Hughes to add to our collection. Plus I'd like to use Rik's write up on Michael Chopra, and get Softie to do one's for Green, Kerr and younger Caldwell.

Tre, I can't really help you out much here. I think that Kerr and Green are English while Caldwell is Scottish, but I only watch them play, I don't know anything about them. Maybe they'll have some info on the orrificial site or one of the stats databases. The one I look at can only tell me their loose positions (i.e. d, m, f or g) and dates of birth.

Caldwell is still way too young to be able to tell anything much about his ability at centre half, while Kerr and Green are extremely similar in having superb close-control and passing ability through midfield and down the wings. They're both regulars in the U19's and also play in the reserves - usually making substitute appearances. They are being nurtured and protected just now, and seem to be friends from the way they chat to each other while warming up waiting to come on. They have both scored some amazing individual goals (the sort Glass was knocking in last season - beating his man, cutting inside and scorching them past the keeper from distance). Green's dribbling can be awesome, but as you'd expect, he's not ready for the Big Time yet - no surprise that they offered him a 4 year contract; if I can see the potential then you can bet your bottom dollar half the scouts have seen it too.
