Gas prices stabilizing? AAA surveys in Wisconsin and Minnesota show gas prices continue to be near their historic highs, but that the rapid increases in recent weeks may be slowing. In Wisconsin, the average price per gallon was $1.58 in AAA's March survey. In Minnesota, it was $1.53. In the Twin Ports, regular, unleaded gas is now as low as $1.49 per gallon after dropping from $1.54 last week.

AAA officials say the Monday meeting of oil-exporting nations may go a long way toward deciding how much we pay for gas this summer. If OPEC increases oil production by at least 2.5 million barrels daily, AAA projects gas prices could soon fall in the Northland.

And who said foreign news isn't important at home?
