Olympus C3030 (availability?) and C2020 (feedback please!)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I just gave up my Nikon C.P. 950 and am eagerly awaiting the C3030. I have read what I can and it sounds just right. The Nikon needed a speedlight and I wanted to use my Dynalights. I think both Olympus will work with a standard sync cord. Right? The Nikon was considerably less sharp stopped down than wide open and while the 990 has a better iris system (more blades) the Olympus C3030 sounds more versatile and I hope the damn card doesn't load next to the tripod mount like the Coolpixs! (What genius thought that was a good idea?)

Anyway... 1) any one with experience using the O C2020 please advise of your experiences, like white balance, depth of field, image quality inspection in camera, etc...(I'm doing studio product work for web publishing) and 2) any word on a release date for the C3030? Thanks, ya'll... t

and how do you spell versatle, versatile, versitle?... man...
