My question lies in the head-line, but to specify it, I want to tjeck an imp-file for the settings eg. difficulty, lives etc.

How do I do that?

Well Anders assuming that you are using default MAME key setting.

All you have to do is hit [tab] key.

This should give you a menu.

Then scroll down to Dip Switches and this is where difficulty settings are.
