the harsh truth of the camera eye

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

hi. i got back my black and whites from omaha. im dissapointed in myself, but i got a few decent shots. a lot of really good shots of craig. for anyone interested in seeing them they're here.

beware, i kind of added in a ramble about how much i suck. hahahaha. most of the ones on the page are decent, but if you saw the other 40 rejects you'd think you were as lame as i do. hahahaha.

k anyhow, enjoy. feel free to comment and inflate my ego :p

>> you'd think you were as lame as i do.<< wow. erin thinks we're lame. that's not nice erin. and, erin i LOVE your photos. they do NOT suck. and neither do you. tom looks good, by the way. i think being on the road agrees with him. so, after making it through the perilous winter tour/flu season, hugging multiple germy people (including typhoid aimee), without once getting ill - i spend one quiet weekend at home and bam! it gets me. so the obvious lesson i've learned from this is not to stay at home. but when i turn to the handy joe90 tour schedule, what do i find. . .nothing. NOTHING. i'm sick. . . i'm hostile. . . and i need tour dates. maybe i'll go check out guster's webpage. .....................................

erin, i am a fan of your pictures. they are wonderful :)

im also happy to see that Tom looks well. this may, in fact, BE the last time we see him. ever. eek. i hope he is ok!

i can't even MENTION tom to yellow dog. he gets all verklempt.

then his hair starts falling out. its a mess. he's a mess.

you all must buy entenmann's coffee crumb cake. its wonderful.

the last *original* godiva person quit last night. ha. so now jill is pretty much the only salesperson who has been there for more than a month. now im actually going to get more than 12 hrs a week. we need to plan all joe90 parties at least 2 weeks in advance, though. hint, hint.

i think we should be in charge of the next east coast leg of the joe90 tour. wouldn't that be brilliant?! we'd be very good at that job, we're an organized bunch.

ok.

feel better kristin :)

>> we're an organized bunch <<

i hope that shows up, i tried to do my carrots right.

anyway, i just thought that needed to be repeated...jill is right, we are quite an organized group! i am all about making lists. everyone can have a job on the east coast tour!

by the way...dalton? you are doing a very poor job of being my bitch. ;)

MMkay.. I haven't posted in a while... mainly cuz I always get this unloved feeling when I post something (it's not you people... I think I have an inferiority complex or something) Anyhoo... I LOVE the pics!!! You are such a wonderful photographer in my eyes, Erin. You just capture the mood so well =)

I noticed the show was on St. Patty's day, so I hope everyone was wearing green!! Even if you aren't really Irish, everyone is Irish on March 17th.

Question: Is Tom that little dude wearing the hat that sits on top of Craig's amp? I think I missed this information somewhere along the line.

Take care everyone, -Amanda, who feels younger on this board every day

Dude, how do i expire my cookie? i'm dropping the 89. its there because my cookie makes it so! ahh!

Anyhow. AMANDA JOY! we lub yoU! :D i was just going to ask where you were! silly girl :] Thank you for the compliments, that means a lot to me >>insert tori heart grab<< - i wish you guys were familiar with tori-isms, because i use them all the time. next time i see you i'll have to teach them to you. theres the grabby air wave "bleep bleep", and the grabby heart one (thats my favorite), and the sliding of the side of your hand on your chest. hahahaha. i sound crazy right?

anyhow, back to the topic at hand. Yes the show was my favorite holiday, St. Patricks Day - i actually dont think ANYONE was wearing green. I think adam had his drum sticks wrapped in a shiny green. I had a green rubber band in my hair. lol. but there was plenty of green stuff floating around the bar. i took my green blur shirt, but chose not to wear it. i know you cared about all of this, yes? but it was all discussed. no one was in the spirit man.

Okay AJ, to answer your question about Tom. Well, he doesn't wear a hat, but he is the little dude that sits on top of craigs amp. You didn't miss the info, don't worry :] He was my little stuffed pal that went with me everywhere and became a big Joe90 fan. Somewhere along the way, he bonded with craig..and left me. Heh. hes a rawk star now, apparently :]

but isnt he cute!? i miss him a lot. my bag is lonely. carlos ignored me again at work. did i mention i hate work? did anyone buy a GM car in the last month, i could be calling you! ::bangs head into wall::

kimchi is addicting. so hardcore. its evil. take it away from me.

have a happy thursday everyone!! mwah. i love great expectations (the movie, eye candy. purrrr)

vanilla, erin.

DUDE make the cookie die. sorry for the multipost. but i remembered something i meant to respond to a few days ago. Kristin made a comment that she was gonna use my word - "random." is random really my word? i know i use it all the fucking time. lol. sorry!

i just realized that one year ago from today i was in Ireland. It was my first day in Ireland and i was fucking sea sick. Its great that i didnt know i got train/sea/bus sick until i went to europe and thats all i did. Train Sick was the worst. Sea sick sucked because i had to go stand out on the back of the ferry and it was COLD, but i smoked cloves to calm me and the sky was so grey and all you could see was this emerald water below you. it was spiritual. then i got to ireland. ireland wasnt spiritual.

lol. i know you cared right?? oh no..now im gonna have to go for a trip down memory lane with myself. if anyone wants to be a passenger, just lemme know....

mysiren, erin.

ireland...i've always wanted to go to ireland*

erin's pics ARE beautiful. just thought i'd mention that again! :)

went to see cracker last night. they were awesome* the place where they played, Theodore's, was GREAT. Joe90 should SOO play there. it was very pontiac-grille-ish, but better. and its only 10 minutes from my house :P

the opening band was....good. i had no idea what their name was. the lead singer guy was british one minute, then very new-york the next. he sang like a bosstone. one guitar guy was half ninja/half filipino pop star, and the other one was part jakob dylan/part adam yayyawhatshisname from the beastie boys. and the other guitar guy had a dan vickery head. very very strange. the drummer coulda been an oompa loompa.

cracker was incredible though. really really really great band. loud though, my ears are still hurting. and the drunk guy next to me who had his elbow in my ear part of the night. then he body slammed me (gently, but he still pushed me). thank goodness for the security guy. he kept me safe. and he gave barb and i some of his water. he ruled*

so yeah, joe90 should play theodore's. the staff was SO incredibly nice (not just my security guy) and it was a really great little bar place. very springfield.
