I keep hearing rumors of a $100 rebate on the Coolpix 950 and was wondering if this is just another internet rumor or will Nikon offer the rebate after April 1st because if true then I will wait until then. It would make the 950 a great bargain. TIA for any feedback.

It is not rumor! I visited Nikon website last week and I really saw a $100 rebate form on Nikon website (a friend told me to visit because of this rebate). But later the same day, I revisited the site and the link to the $100 rebate was gone. This is what I think, the reason Nikon took down the link is to avoid potential customers wait until April 1st. If I were you, I would wait. It is worth to wait a week for a $100 rebate!
