From a report in New Scientist magazine on Swedish scientists who say they may have found a way to create a black hole on Earth without sucking the planet into oblivion:
"If they succeed, our view of the universe could become a lot clearer."

I don't believe the "New Scientist" is a peer-reviewed journal. Wouldn't expect this to be more than a hope.Or a Nobel Prize...
