Creating vcd's on pinnacle studio mp10

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have a pinnacle MP10 which I use for video editing (home movies etc). It produces excellent results with mpeg1 format at bit rates of 2200 - 2500. However, when I try to play these on my wharfedale dvd player they just blockout and are a jumbled mess. Am I doing something wrong or is it that what I am doing doesn't work?

it is possible your player does not support the higher rates (2200- 2500). Which means you have to do a vcd with a normal bitrate (1150)

ANGEL,

WHAT ARE YOU TALKINBG ABOUT??? i own the studio mp10. I have made quite a few video cds (yes at normal rate) with the mp10. The MP10 even gives you the option to capture using a video cd template (which is against my method for making vcds, but for arguments sake. Are you sure Angel your not mixing this up with another product

SORRYYYYYYYYY !

I mixed it up with DC1000

Thanks for your answers.. Doug....The capture and edit are fine it saves as an mpeg1 ok. How do I then get it onto the cd as a video cd. What software do you use impression for cd which came with the mp10 does not work at all with my HP8210e cd writer and the stuff that came with the cd writer never mentions video cd as an option just audio or data!

Regards

Geoff

their are a bunch of programs that give you the video cd option to burn the disc: adaptec 3.5 and up, NTI, NERO, Video pack 4, Winocd, etc. off hand i know you can dl a trial version of the nti cd maker pro and that will let you make a video cd. NOTE though if its giving you problems it might be because it will not regonise your burner, but give it a try.
