I have been assigned by my superiors to assemble ASAP a package of equipment to shoot commercial sporting goods equipment(all stills) photos for insertion into our color,print advertisments. I need to get some ideas for compatible digital camera/2 flash (sync-slave)options. I am thinking of the Kodak DC260 line as we need to come in under 1000.00 for the camera and the reviews are very good regarding their images.Any recommendations would help greatly camera and flash. Thanks.

I am very happy with my 265, and just ordered a 290 tonight. (computers4sure.com, $709) I use my 265 for event photography and whitewater action photos. It has been whitewater kayaking, snowmobiling, on and on, and works good at 11,000 pictures since 5/99. It should serve you well for your needs. The 290 has enough resoulution to do pretty much all you will need. There are much better cameras, just not in that price range.
