Sue: How are you proposing to handle shipping, etc? Will you just list the items and have them shipped from whomever is making them? Seems like that would be the most economical. Will you need photos, etc, or just descriptions? Are you planning to take a commission, or just charge each crafter? Just some things that might effect participation. I do crafts, and am getting ready to do a show on April 8th in Colorado Springs. From where I live, it is not always convenient to go into these things, so your site might be a better way to go. Good Luck! Jan

Sounds like an interesting idea. Send more info. I do cross-stitch, counted and stamped, and plastic canvas, macrame and am starting with homemade soap. I'd like to get into candle-making soon. Also have other craft ideas. Let us all know when your site is up and running. Laurie

Sue, I make bears from old fake fur coats. I've designed some patterns myself but also use bought patterns. I mostly make antigue reproduction bears from the coats, but I also do what I call heirloom bears (making bears out of a loved ones piece of clothing) Let me know if you are interested. I can send some photos if you'd like. Jane

Hi I have just started makeing rag dolls. I really like makeing them but they are a lot off work. I am considering selling them on the internet but they would be pricy because of all the work involved. However I think they will sell. I have been makeing crochet teddie bears for many years. and many other crochet things. Infact I can make anything you want crocheted with out a patern. Keep in touch Lisa

Hi Sue,

I have a craft shop in the Mountains of NC, and I am part of the craft guild Handmade in America. We make things for our shop, to wholesale, and to do the big Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte. Let me know how you are going to do the website, it sounds great.

Hi Sue, Was browsing and come upon your comments. I also am a crafter with the same problems as others. The expense of getting to and from shows and the booth rental, and maybe no sales. I do Basket weaving and have too much competition from overseas, but of course these are Kentucky hand made. I have several baskets on display at a craft shop 20 miles from my home and in 2 years they have sold one basket. I have to price them too high to make anything after commissions. Let me know when you get up and running . Good Luck, Evalyn

I maybe interested in your site,I make several differant items. handbags, angels, dears, and Barbie doll clothes. Also some ornaments. But I don't have a lot of time to do the craft shows and since my daughter pass away no one to go with me. So when you get this site up and going let me know how it works.
