I am torn between the purchase of an oly2500 or a new coolpix990. I will be photographing small items, like bottles of polish and portraits. Also, I know that the oly2500 has less pixels but what about this true pix technology?? Does it create better pictures? Thankyou for all of your assistance. Paula

I'm choosing between those 2 cameras too. I like to take pictures of landscape and also do some macro and portraits. In my opinion, the new Nikon has been improved from 950 a lot and higher pixels, but I don't like the shape and the feeling to use. Anyway, C-2500L is an old model (Oct 99!) and I think that most of camera manufacturers issue a lot of new product this time, like Canon S-20, Nikon 990. Why not Olympus? or they will issue just 3030Z? I think new generation of 2500 is coming soon... Should we wait for a while? Could some experts suggest on this? Thanks! John
