Looking for a loving home for 5-yr old MC

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Maine Coon Cats : One Thread

We're looking for a loving home for our 5-year-old Maine Coon. Since having our first child I don't have enough time for her and she's not adjusting to the new arrival. I don't want to hand her over to a shelter or someone responding to a newspaper ad. If you know anyone in the Colorado area who's interested, they can e-mail me at stacy_l_wilson@hotmail.com (that's an "L" not a #1 in the middle). She is spayed and declawed in the front feet only. She gets along well with our dog.

Stacy: Have you had anyone willing to parent your kitty. I too am in a similar situation in that we have been posted overseas, and it would not be in the interest of my dear 15 year old MC "Dickens" and Company to be subjected to such trauma, so I'm looking for a home for he, and my tuxedo female and her black son. It's easier to give up the kids than my 12 little feet.

I can't believe that you can even think of giving away your cat at 5 years old or 15 years old. I would not give up my cats for anything in the world, even if they are 20 years old or for a baby. They would have to adjust to the new things that happen around the household since I brought them up from a kitten. They adjusted to us in our household and they should adjust to a new baby in your house.
