Truckers' protest action: Blocked main roads into Oslo
Trucks this morning blockaded the three main routes into Oslo, in order to show the new Government that the fight over taxes on diesel fuel is not yet over.
Knut Enger, who is leader of the action, says that the blockade is reminder to the new Government that truck drivers are not going to give up.
Actions against new diesel taxes were also expected to be organized in other parts of the country.
The cost of diesel fuel in Norway is now around Nkr 10 pr liter. The cost of gasoline is about the same,- more than twice what it costs in the US, and a third more than the fuel cost in Sweden.
