I'm sure many of us want to know: when will the 990 be available?

Answers

I expect the first product to be available in the US around the time your tax returns are due. (April 17-we have 2 more days-the 15th is a Saturday). More shipments will follow in the coming weeks. We are receiving them by air from Japan as fast as Nikon Corp. can build them!

Remember-demand is already heavy like the 950 was-so get your pre- orders in.

I pre-ordered my Nikon 990 from eCost.com on March 13, 2000. I was lucky I did because I got a great price at that time, which has now risen by almost $100. I checked the status of my order on Friday and found out it was shipped on 4/26. I expect to receive it by May 3rd :-)
