England in Europe

Is it possible that the English teams involved in Europe still will meet in their respective finals?

I don't know UEFA's rules here, but can teams from the same countries meet in the quarter and semi finals of the champions league, or is it UEFA's policy to keep them apart?

Similarly could Arsenal and Leeds meet in the UEFA cup semi or is it not allowed again?

I think from the quarter finals on it was an open draw in the EUFA cup. I think the champions league now has the 4 group winners against the 4 runners up but it is an open draw so Man U could play Chelsea.

I don't think that's right MacBeth. I'm sure the word down here in ManUreland is that NamUre have a protected passage (!) right thru to extra time in the CL final. If they haven't won it by then, one player from one side (can't imagine which one) will be withdrawn until a result is forthcoming. Should they not win, the other team will be disqualified.

Aye, the King's Road XI v the Devon XI.... I think I'd go for the former as they aren;t gonna win anything else.

But if EUFA can contrive to keep both Newton Heath and the Pensioners apart until the final they could change the match to a Saturday afternoon, play at Wembley, let Newton Heath win in normal and both sets of supporters would be home for a 5.00pm Tea Time!

No policing problems, no major hold ups on motorways....perfect solution.

But which set of supporters would get the tunnel end since the other end is used for London-based supporters?
