This site, which is in this week's Time magazine, has a business model that is interesting. It will help amateur's sell their work online, acting as a digital talent agent.

Check it out if you get a chance - www.ShareYourWorld.com.

I had stuff up there and the site went doen with no explination at all... Now it wont even resolve. I E-Mailed Chase Norlin after the shitdown and he responded back and said he's working on getting it back online. That was over a year ago..... Where is it now???? What happened????

They spent way too much on a b-model that was 1/2 baked. At least with the free file storage firms, they had a tie in with corp. clients and served as an extranet/intranet.

ShareYour World was merely a clip repository for porn and idiotic home movies. Kinda like America's least-interesting and irrelevant Content site.com.

Truth be told, people dont want volumes of unstructured nonesense. they want highly targeted, edited, polished stuff that adds some value to their lives, either humor or insight or whatever.

Gobs and gobs of irrelevent yet semi-curious data is like a web site devoted to forwarded email jokes and clever ASCII art...

Who has the time for that crap save for teenagers and inmates. and foreign students trying to understand idiotic american culture.

These guys took the site down and probably have all that video sitting on several drives but sold the CPUs for scrap.

They are dead and will never come back. And your data is lost forever.

sorry bot that.
