No, I'm still here and I don't play the multiple handles game.

Since I got Hawk to stop ignoring me on this thread and others have stood up to him, I've held back. I'm also trying to spend less time here and more time catching up on other things I've neglected.

As far as the polly vs. doomer bit, I've been called both. Before the rollover, I thought that Y2k would be a Yardeni at worst but nevertheless I prepared for 3 months of disruptions. I had some concerns about accounting applications causing problems but didn't see how embeddeds were really going to be a problem and definately didn't look for airplanes to fall from the sky. (Which I thought was a discredited and spurned scenario even among hard core doomers prior to the rollover -- but surprise, surprise; a few holdouts there even months after the date)

Problem with the irrational doomers that I can see is that if a real Y2k problem comes up, it will be lost in the noise of "glitch" postings and over-the-edge irrationality of the sort from Hawk.

Speaking of missing posters, haven't seen that much from my nemesis. Also his syncophant S B Ryan III. That was a strange situation -- a right-wing christian conservative sucking up the offerings from Hawk. This Ryan fellow struck me as the type who would have been the first in line for the Kool-Aid from the vat. Maybe he could have gotten Hawk to teach his baby some of his vocabulary.
