What's the big deal of Minox 35 MDC???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MINOX FAQ : One Thread

I've been wondering what the big deal about Minox's 35 Model MDC was. It's been quite a long time I've seen one on eBay and if I remember that right, it was pretty expensive. Did they cost more, do they have any other specifications than the ML or anything like that?

MDC is the flagship of Minox's 35mm camera. It has a aluminium body instead of Macrolon body, functionally it is the same as 35ML.

A lot of people like metal camera, and willing to pay for it.

There is also a gold plated MDC.

It all boils down to personal choice

Just found a Minox MDC in mint condition, box and all. Works perfectly. Super sharp and contrasty lens (Using T-Max 400). Combining that with a Kyocera flash about half the size of a cigarette pack. Goes anywhere.

Two other tiny winners are the Rollei 35S and the Konica 35.
