Man gets 10 months for mooning judge

The Associated Press 3/16/00 2:56 PM

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- A man who gave graphic expression to his contempt of court got 10 months in jail for mooning a judge.

Robert White, 50, who is unemployed, was representing himself on a disorderly conduct charge Wednesday for allegedly causing a disturbance at a hospital.

White objected that he was being tried in a "kangaroo court" and began using foul language, witnesses said. Then he dropped his pants, bent over and gave Municipal Judge Dennis Sutterfield a view of his rear end.

Sutterfield cited White for contempt. The judge said it was the first time in his 14 years on the bench that he had been mooned.

Then the judge asked him out on a date.

What these tyrants in black robes ignore is that both respect and contempt are EARNED.

TEN MONTHS! WOW! This guy must have had one ugly butt!

Nope, I fully agree with the judge on this one. Have a little respect for the guy's office, if not the man.

Frank Someone -- The man and the office both well deserve contempt. MAYBE at one time one could have said at least the office deserves respect. But we aren't in Kansas anymore, Toto.

A,

The communist insurgents and drug lords in Colombia feel just like you do about Judges and Courts of law. They use the same rhetoric.

The Mafia in Italy also have the same contempt you feel.

Most prison inmates in the US would also support you.

Chief what? Doofus? Yeah, stupid -- because of (alcohol) prohibition, the mafia was given a tremendous boost. Now because of the "drug war" (war on people), the gangs and Columbian etal drug lords have been given a tremendous boost. Since most people are in prison for drugs and drug related crimes (most of which would not have been committed except for prohibition caused artificially high prices), those inmates correctly have little respect for this corrupt legal system. This country would be a better place if all the politicians, bureacrats and judges were in jail, and the present inmates -- even murderers and rapists -- released.

A, you said this would be a better place if judges, lawyers, etc., were in jail; yes, some of them should be, especially crooked politicians, most of whom are lawyers.

You also said present inmates should be realeased--even murderers and rapists. I don't agree with that, but the sad fact is, there are murderers and rapists walking the streets right now, while drug offenders, many of whom haven't committed major, or violent crimes are sitting in jail. The drug war is a joke. It has had the same effect as prohibition, of making the drug business, BIG business.

Gilda -- I was being rather hyperbolic, as usual -- but, consider, if the politicians, etc. (and lawyers, as you mentioned) ... were all locked up and the murderers, etc. all set free, it WOULD be messy for awhile. But they would be taken care of eventually by friend and family of victims. AT LEAST THE MURDERERS AND RAPISTS DON'T HAVE POLITICAL POWER -- THEY DON'T HAVE THE SANCTION OF THE PUBLIC.

Whereas, the politicians et al, do have "sanction of the victim" ae are responsible for MASS atrocities and subjugations.
