Ruud offered jobs in England

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Ruud Gullit, who was at the Chelsea match in Rotterdam last night, said that he had been offered massive jobs in England but was just chilling out at the moment. Hmmmm. Who the feck would give him a job, now? Possibly in a coaching capacity but management? Never. He also refers to being sacked at Newcastle - er, last time I looked, he resigned. Or is the something we don't know? I wonder whether he'll ever come to our games.

How about following the trend and going to work at Celtic ?

I think he 'fell on his sword' before some one pushed him on it from a great height. And lets face it the list of people volunteering to give him the push would have be very long (Me included).

I was watching On Digital last night when Ruud came out (oo-er) with a classic - "when you rely on just one striker to get the goals you will be in trouble" - when asked about Chelseas lack of real fire power in front of goal.

Robbie Earle sat next to him missed a great opportunity for a quick dig, when Jim the Nose said Zola wasn't a 20 goals a season player, surely RE could have mentioned Al in dispatches about 20 goals a season players - if selected.
