Man, look at that green grass in the middle of March!!!!

How would it be!

It's called Southern California Sunshine =o)

That and the 5 million inches of rain we had dumped on us the last few weeks.

Do not, repeat DO NOT even THINK about moving here. We already have stop-and-go for 10-20 miles on all major freeways from 7AM-9AM and 4PM-6PM, Mon-Fri. Tack on high housing prices and gas nearing $2/gal and you have a populace that is just barely able to afford to live and work here (and often has to drive a long way to do so.)

Lived in Escondido in the late 70's. Very pleasant in all respects-- but that was before the freeways needed traffic metering lights, etc. UTC was just getting started--before it became a city unto itself. Lived in UC too, til 1987--then escaped to a saner life in No. Carolina. I'd agree with all the above, don't even THINK about moving there!

Loved seeing the pic from Escondido! Lived in that area for 10 years before the 'Y2K Jitters' started. Just decided to bite the bullet and move to this remote island in the Caribbean. Glad we did. Went back to Escondido-SanDiego last November for a month and could not believe the traffic! We don't even have a vehicle here -- but those who do pay over $7/gal. for their petrol. (that's EC however - one US$ is worth about $2.70). No traffic, no stop&go lights, and 100 yards to the sea. Well, what can I say? It's glorious, once you get used to living in a third-world country, which we have, and are now thriving. Wanna see some green in March? ...c'mon on down!!

Remote island in the Caribbean?

What time should we be there?

cin........

any ol' time is Island time. If someone sez they're coming Thursday, it could mean today, or next week, or next month. Pretty laid back. Takes awhile to get used to -- but the R&C's are always 'on tap'. So as the palm trees gently sway in this little breeze this morning, I'm off to plant another flower! Cheers!
