Derailment scare over in Quebec
Eight families were allowed to return to their homes Saturday, 24 hours after a freight-train carrying creosote derailed in their community.
Four cars of a CN train overturned Friday night in Brossard, a suburb south of Montreal.
The creosote, a brown oil distilled from coal tar, did not leak. But people nearest to the derailment were forced to leave their homes as a precaution.
No one was injured.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
