Rowing Clinic/Camp

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Open-water rowing : One Thread

My father rowed for Wisconsin in the mid 60's. I rowed for Wisconsin in the mid-80's. I am interested in the two of us attending a rowing camp or clinic where we might improve our technique, and train together as a father-son event. This would be best if there was a possibility for small races in 8's or pairs. Are there such camps?

Thanks.

Mark, There are lots of rowing camps and schools, although without asking it's difficult to say in which ones you would get the races you want. The best list of camps I've seen is in the American Rower's Almanac, 9902 Parkwood Drive, Bethesda, MD 20814. Phone (301) 571-7197, fax (301) 571-7198, e-mail rowalmanac@aol.com, or visit www.rowersalmanac.com.

Good luck!
