Emergency alert declared in Ben-Gurion International Airport

(IsraelWire-3/12-9:24-ST) Emergency responders at Israels Ben-Gurion International Airport are currently moving to emergency status as an incoming flight has informed the control tower it is unable to open its landing gear.

Experts point out that in most cases the problem is resolved without incident but nevertheless, a state of emergency has been declared at this time.

Runways are being cleared, incoming air traffic has been placed on hold and emergency fire, rescue, EMS and other agencies are responding from in and around the airport area. IsraelWire will provide additional details as they are made available. (Kol MHashetach)
