Who's Missing?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

As this new BBS has been up for a bit, perhaps we should have roll call of who's on and who isn't.

Looking at the statistics page, it seems that Rik has not posted. Also Lancster Red has not made it across.

Is there anybody else that seems to have gone AWOL?

Galaxy left a note on Riks, I think she's waiting for a password.

-- Anonymous, March 13, 2000

Warm and sunny in `sunny` Bournemouth! And a big smile back on my face! I was having a panic attack on Saturday afternoon - sat at my `puter all on my ownsome! Felt like a lost soul - I`ve definately become a very sad person since I got involved with the BBS - but I sure am pleased to have found you all again!!!!!!!!!!!! HOWAY THE LADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MacBeth has turned up on Rik's site looking for the URL, so I've left him a message. If anyone has his email address would you mail him?

-- Anonymous, March 13, 2000

By the way - I missed you too Clarky!

-- Anonymous, March 13, 2000

Hey Galaxy! Glad to see you've been rescued. BTW, what kind of dogs do you have? Animal Planet is showing highlights of Crufts, maybe we'll see you?

-- Anonymous, March 13, 2000

Hi Ciara,

Good to talk to you again! And good to be back! My breed is Shih- Tzu. I wasn`t expecting anything spectacular at Crufts. She`s just a baby. She didn`t let me down though - really strutted her stuff - lots of interest in her, especially from the foreign visitors. I won`t bore you further on my other favourite subject, as it is SO non- footie. I`ll drop you an e mail if you wish, and give you an address where you can see a picture of her.

-- Anonymous, March 13, 2000

Welcome back Galaxy. What about that fix at Crufts! The bearded collie should have won - I'm not biased of course having a mad brown and white one.

-- Anonymous, March 13, 2000

Not so much a fix, as predictable. It was always going to be the Kerry Blue or the Bichon. These two dogs have done a lot of winning in the last year (neither of which I particularly like), but it would take a brave judge to ignore them. The Beardie looked nice, but I personally, from that line up, would have given it to the Boxer. Even that wouldn`t have been my first choice - I would have given the Afgan the Hound Group and then Best in Show. Ah well, I`ve only just started judging myself, so it will be a long time before I judge Best in Show (minimum age requirement is about 90)!

Straggler spotted - Mandy Lifeboats

Just noticed one of the missing, presumed incompetent, from The BBS Communicata splashing around in the water. Contact established with Geordie. Expect a bedraggled and bewildered biker (Byker?) lad to join us soon.

About bliddy time too. We need an update on the Teampick competition. Expect some damage along the way.

-- Anonymous, March 16, 2000

ITK Glad to find you all at last. It was touch and go for a short while there. Sheffield is fine at the moment, I had the shock of my life the other day, saturday I saw Waddle score 2 for my local village side. And today I was sat in the Jacuzzi with Pavel.

-- Anonymous, March 16, 2000

Finally made it here. Had some nice stops on the way - Mrs Miggins Pie Shoppe and Cosiminis for a chip buttie. Nice to find that so many have made the journey.

-- Anonymous, March 16, 2000

Cosimini's for a chip butty! Is that place by the railway crossing still going? Bliddy best chips in Blyth when I was a lad (aboot 10 years ago).

-- Anonymous, March 16, 2000

Hey Screach,

I think I have also worked out who Biffa is. Read nufc.com and then read the posts here. One of our posters often eerily matches the output from nufc.com so unless he only reads that site and quotes verbaitum then you have craked it.

-- Anonymous, March 22, 2000

I know Loony is here somewhere. He emailed me with the address, but I was already here. I think I was anyway. I can never get back to read what I post until a day later.

ITK am I still here? Or gone walkabout again?

-- Anonymous, March 22, 2000

MIA?

We don't seem to be getting any posts from a number of previous heavy contributors like - Rik, Swift, Loony Toon, tRICKY sLIDER, Pete in the Bahamas, etc., and even people like Dougal and Jonno are not appearing on here very often these days.

On the other hand, we seem to getting some new contributors, although this may just be a spin off of the 'uncloaking' of posters from their previous pseudonyms.

-- Anonymous, March 22, 2000

Rik is busy (I believe) taking over the Internet. He's got so many schemes in plan that he can't find the time to converse with mere mortals like us.

Jonno has been "oot of area" for a whle, but he called me today and we're going to sahre a beer (or more!) tomorrow (Thursday). I expect to see more of him online in the near future.

Swift has changed jobs and is now in Lahndaan, so no doubt was at Stanford Bridge tonight supporting the Foreign Legion. As for the others - I'm sure LT has been here but not so sure about the others.

Mind you - Dr Bill has hardly been seen since Harold Shipman went down for all those serial murders.

Dougal is, well, she;s Dougal. Who knows? Actually, she's on her jolidays just now.

-- Anonymous, March 22, 2000

MIA? - clarky = Missing in Action.......sorry bad one I know.

-- Anonymous, March 22, 2000

AM I thibnk I got your email from the MSN account, tried to email everyone else buit the system wouldn't let me do a mail shot. Tricky is registered on there but has left no email address. As for the others...mmm, don't know. I will try again though, maybe a few others registered under different names or something.
