Energy experts consider el-rationing

Norwegian energy consumption is so high that the government has established a secret experts group to work out how to implement forced energy saving.

Statnett has already received authority to ration electricity, writes Dagsavisen.

Figures from NVE show that energy supplies have been near to collapse on several occasions, and most recently this winter.

Participating in the experts group are representatives from the Oil and Energy Ministry, Statnett and Norges vassdrags- og elektrisitets-direktorat (Waterways and Electricity Directorate).
