Doesn't seem like it, does it?

A few are, Andy, but most are posting to understand the differences between those who chose to see Y2k as a BIG thing or Y2k as a LITTLE thing. The rest is just general discussion. Feel free to join in.

Are there still people who can't get over their own smirky smugness?

-- Lars (lars@indy.net), March 11, 2000.

Plus ca change, plus c'est la MEME chose.

Anita,

I suppose you are correct, from a rough perusal of comments here.

Liars,

Am I to understand you are referring to me when speaking of smugness? Why, nothing could be further from the truth.
You seem to be demonstrating some of that "objectivity" that landed you on the, shall we say, "less than correct" side of the debate about the outcome of Y2k. I understand your bitterness, and would sympathise, but I choose not.

Andy Ray:

Check out this thread:

Yes, there are some people who continue to believe there are $$$ left in this subject somewhere.

Andy Ray,

I am not bitter. I am damn glad that y2k is over and nothing happened. I am not, never was, a "doomer". But yes, I was all fudded up. If you truly knew in advance that there would be no problem, I congratulate you. It sure wasn't obvious to me and I never saw anything on Debunkers that convinced me all would be well.

Are you smug? To the extent that I know you thru these forums---yes. Your incessant use of the pop-sociology term "meme", your chacteristic sign-offs ("amused regards", "patient regards"), your cutesy green font, even this very post (Anita 'splained it to you and you know it yourself, so why keep raising the point?

There's new fish to fry--let's fry 'em.

Lars, who doesn't lie.

-- Lars (lars@indy.net), March 11, 2000.

"smirky smugness". Always has been. Best said, Lars.

Flint,

If you want to blow it out your pecker-hole, 'ole Andyman will give you a hand!

Everyone say hi to "impostor troll".

-- (hmm@hmm.hmm), March 11, 2000.

This last phoney Andy Ray post sounds a lot like our favorite village idiot, 'Hawk'.

Hi Andy babe, we all miss your cute green outfits in here, can you give me a hand with this.....?

-- Porky (Porky@in.cellblockD), March 11, 2000.

Ra:

Couldn't be, Hawk has been, well read it:

Hawk

I have been reading his posts for a long time; Some are funny; most are not to be taken seriously; he doesn't mean them to be. There is anti matter and anti Flint. Hawk is the latter.

Best wishes,,,,,,,,,,, ,
